This is a short collection of free verse poetry that I did in about 10 minutes and which I have to turn in to my Education Grad class. Enjoy.
Half-used shampoo
For
better
or
worse
commitment is
forever
a diamond is
forever
but I'm tired
of your smell
and though you
promised volume(s)
you leave me with
none
waste not
want not
I want a new
you,
shampoo
Mirror Spots
Like little
sprinkles
on a brownie
scattered like
the astral
heavens
your spotty
pinpricks
give me freckles
because my
roommate
never
cleans
the
mirror
This isn't really true about my rooommates, but it fit in the poem. Artistic liscense.
Musty Towel
Used
and unsuspecting;
looks
usable but
shant be
used.
Hanging.
Used.
Holds its
musty
secret
like fresh
gossip.
"Don't touch me.
Your hands will
smell."
Bathroom Drawer
old soap
clips
tweezers
hair bands
ribbons
razors
free samples from the Truman
Bookstore
hand cream
teeth whitening stuff
allergy medicine
old makeup
brush
with hair
in it
I will never use most of you,
I promise.
